MOBIL programme

The Molecular Biosciences International Student ProgrammeMOBIL – is created to boost internationalisation at the graduate student level. MOBIL provides talented, young students with the opportunity to join outstanding international research groups, and you can complete your PhD degree in a challenging and supportive environment at Aarhus University, Denmark.

The MOBIL programme was established in 2008 with the support of a 3-years grant from the Danish National Research Foundation. MOBIL consists of five centres of excellence at Aarhus University working in the field of molecular biosciences.

Talented students with a BSc or MSc degree in molecular biology, chemistry, or other relevant discipline are welcome to apply for a MOBIL PhD scholarship. The duration of the PhD study programme is 3–5 years, depending on your educational background.

MOBIL offers short-term project scholarships for students who have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies in a relevant discipline.

Two features distinguish MOBIL:

  • Elite PhD education in the field of molecular biosciences at five centres of excellence carrying out world-class research
  • Active recruitment of highly talented students

Further information can be obtained from MOBIL programme director Torben Heick Jensen.
